The annual meeting Forum brings together Energy ministers and utility executives of a large number of African countries: Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of the Congo, São Tomé and Príncipe, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, Central African Republic, South Africa and Burundi.

This event initiative aims to improve the electrical infrastructure of these countries, through the interconnection of electrical systems and appealing to the solidarity between neighbouring villages. This forum presents the current needs of electrical energy, giving priority to isolated areas which are traditionally the poorest.

Many countries have already sufficient sources to provide itself autonomously, and with the surpluses that have, they can feed the electricity systems of neighbouring countries.

There are many advantages of interconnections, the most important is to ensure network stability (voltage and frequency), avoiding the dreaded blackouts.

Uriarte Safybox through its delegation in the country, Uriarte  GE, has made his name at this Conference of African countries.

They are offering its technology know-how, their knowledge of Smart Grids, work experience in more than 68 countries around the world and the possibility of a productive deployment in the central Africa. To allow a real and effective technology transfer from engineering to local technicians.
